Who Runs This Site

This site is a personal project exploring a concept for Ontario Parks. Contact via hello@cairnsparks.com.

What Data Is Collected

This site uses basic analytics to understand how many people visit and where they come from. Before signing up, only anonymous usage data is recorded: page views, general navigation behaviour, device type, browser, country etc. No personal data is collected at this stage and no individual visitor is identifiable from this data.

Email Sign-Ups

If you choose to join the waitlist, your email address is collected solely to notify you about the project's progress. At this point, your visit data is linked to your email internally. This data is not shared with third parties or used for any other purpose. You can request removal at any time by emailing us directly.

Survey Responses

This site includes optional survey questions to help understand how people use Ontario Parks. Survey answers are used only to inform the concept and will not be shared with third parties. At the end of the survey, you may optionally provide your email address if you are open to a follow-up interview. This is entirely optional and unrelated to the waitlist.

Cookies

This site does not use cookies.

Data Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Site analytics are handled by PostHog using privacy-preserving, cookieless tracking; this analytics data is processed and stored on servers located in the European Union (Germany). Waitlist email addresses and survey responses are stored securely and accessed only by the project owner.

This site operates in Ontario, Canada. Waitlist email addresses and any email provided via the survey are collected with your consent and used only for the stated purpose, in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
